Со стороны анонс выглядит довольно абсурдным. Это уже третий по счёту ремейк/ребут оригинальной Star Fox — без учёта переизданий и ремастеров. В данном случае основой стала Star Fox 64 с Nintendo 64.Согласно сюжетной завязке, лис Фокс Макклауд и его команда вновь должны остановить учёного Андросса, который пытается захватить систему Лайлат.

Разработчики предложат в рельсовом шутере не только старые режимы игры, но и абсолютно новые. Также были переработаны визуал и геймплей, благодаря чему систему Лайлат разрешат исследовать более детально. Система управления позволит использовать Joy-Con 2 в режиме компьютерной мыши.
